Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Freitas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ivan Long!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Freitas!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Freitas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Long, pushing him back against the cage.

Freitas is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Long can't fight it off and eventually Freitas manages to take the fight to the floor. Long looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Long trying to keep a closed guard but Freitas is proving a slippery customer.
Long wants to sweep here but Freitas controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Long trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Long working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Freitas.
Long preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Long keeping moving, preventing Freitas from controlling successfully.
Long is trying to keep Freitas in close.
Freitas pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Long is keeping the position for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Long not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Freitas misses with a body kick.

Freitas decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Freitas is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Long sees it coming and defends easily.
Freitas prevents Long from improving his position.
Long is trying to maintain the position but Freitas is very close to passing his half guard.
Freitas throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Long is looking to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Freitas is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Long doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Freitas.
Long blocking the ground and pound attempt from Freitas.
Freitas wants to pass the guard but Long is defending well.
Freitas thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Long's head.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Freitas tries to pass the half guard into mount. Long knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Freitas seems to be working for a kimura but Long defends the submission attempt.
Long wants to improve his position but Freitas is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Long is working hard here to advance position.
Freitas tries to pass to full mount but Long defends it.
Long is looking for a sweep. Freitas is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Freitas missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Freitas works his way into full mount!
Freitas wants to get back to his feet but Long is holding on tight.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Freitas is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Long can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Long tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Freitas is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Long is surviving well by controlling Freitas's body position as best he can.
Freitas avoids the attempt from Long to control.
Long really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Freitas is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Freitas with shots to the head and body - Long looks very uncomfortable down there.
Freitas wants to stand but Long is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Freitas dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Freitas is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Long's half guard.

Freitas seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Long is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
