Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Terru Wickholm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jacques Mesrine!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mesrine will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wickholm connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mesrine momentarily.
It looks like Jacques Mesrine has been cut.
The crowd cheers as Wickholm lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mesrine doesn't seem phased though.
Mesrine dives in and grabs Wickholm's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wickholm pushes down on Mesrine's head and hops out.
Mesrine fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wickholm sprawls well initially but Mesrine persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wickholm wants to get back to full guard but Mesrine has mounted him!
Wickholm tries to hold on but Mesrine pushes him away.
Mesrine wants to take Wickholm's back but he can't do it this time.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mesrine get's back to his feet.

Mesrine scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wickholm tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Mesrine presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Wickholm tries to lock up and control but Mesrine gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mesrine gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Mesrine uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wickholm.
Wickholm throws out a loose jab but Mesrine uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mesrine slips a jab from Wickholm.
Mesrine decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mesrine in particular looking to stall.

Mesrine seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Mesrine escapes and gets back to his feet.
Mesrine fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Mesrine lands with a slapping head kick.
Wickholm lands a jab to the head.
Mesrine takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mesrine keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And Mesrine tries to counter it with a takedown but Wickholm pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Wickholm cracks Mesrine with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Terru Wickholm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wickholm ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mesrine moves away.
A jab from Wickholm finds it's way through Mesrine's defenses.
Wickholm misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mesrine darts in looking for a takedown but Wickholm gets double underhooks and turns Mesrine into the ropes.
Terru Wickholm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacques Mesrine.
Mesrine uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wickholm.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mesrine uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wickholm.
Wickholm sends Mesrine crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Wickholm is motioning to the referee to let Mesrine up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Mesrine is rocked!
That has opened up Jacques Mesrine's cut even more.
Wickholm darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Mesrine's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Wickholm before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
