The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worner goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Worner throws a lazy head kick

and Bryan counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Worner!

Bryan stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Worner throws a head kick that half lands.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Bryan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Worner's guard.
Worner is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Bryan looking to pass the guard.
Bryan throwing strikes from guard but Worner blocks nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bryan postures up in Worner's guard and throws a big left but Worner blocks it.

Bryan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Worner dives on top into guard.

Bryan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bryan is working hard here to advance position.
Worner trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bryan's guard.
Bryan seems keen to control Worner's posture.
Worner wants to control from the top but Bryan keeps moving.
Worner might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bryan haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Worner avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Bryan is adopting a defensive guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Bryan ducks under a wild hook from Worner.
Worner plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Worner throws a head kick but Bryan moves out of range.
Bryan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Worner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bryan somewhat.

Bryan gets the takedown into side control.

Bryan decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Worner circles away from the clinch attempt.

Bryan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bryan stops Worner from getting back to his feet.

Bryan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bryan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Worner defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
