The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dighead tries a head kick but it misses.
Farrell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dighead closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Owen Farrell has been cut.
We've been informed that Farrell has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Dighead throws a hook but Farrell avoids it easily.
Farrell throws a body kick that misses.
Dighead quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Dighead misses with a head kick.
Dighead lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Dighead throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Farrell throws a head kick but Dighead moves out of range.

Farrell rushes Dighead and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Farrell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dighead lunges at Farrell with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Farrell's hand.

Dighead throws a series of punches but Farrell avoids them all with ease.
Dighead has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Dighead is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Farrell.
Dighead fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Farrell on the side of the head.

Farrell is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Farrell tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Farrell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dighead misses with a looping right.
Farrell tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Dighead is able to avoid easily.
Dighead lands a glancing blow to the side of Farrell's head.

Dighead lands a high kick to the side of Farrell's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Dighead dives into guard, looking to finish.

Farrell is rocked!

That has opened up Owen Farrell's cut even more.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Farrell has his foot on Dighead's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dighead works his way back into a safe position though.
Dighead is looking to stand up but Farrell won't let him.

Dighead tries to pass to full mount but Farrell defends it.
Farrell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Farrell wants to control the action here but instead Dighead manages to pass to full mount!
Farrell wants to hold on but Dighead pushes him away.
Farrell might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dighead haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Farrell is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Dighead tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Farrell wants to hold on but Dighead pushes him away.

Farrell can't escape the position.
Farrell is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dighead wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Dighead connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Farrell's hands.
Dighead tries to land a front kick but Farrell steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Farrell moves in looking to clinch but Dighead pushes him off.

Farrell buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Farrell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dighead swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dighead connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Dighead throws a push kick but Farrell slaps the foot to one side.
And Farrell responds with a good body kick, but Dighead manages to step out the way in time.

Owen Farrell's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Dighead throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Farrell throws a chopping leg kick but Dighead manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Dighead appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Dighead moves out of range of the body kick.
Farrell lands with an overhand left.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Farrell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dighead.
