The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nadir moves into range and clinches up with Silva.

Nadir has picked Silva up - he's going for a ride! Nadir dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Silva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nadir pulls his head out easily.
Nadir looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Nadir lands with a punch from half guard.

Nadir is trying to work for a kimura but Silva is defending well.
Nadir moves into full mount! Silva won't be happy about that!
Silva is looking to improve his position but Nadir isn't that keen on the idea.
Nadir connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Nadir is landing with some decent strikes but Silva is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Ricardo Silva has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nadir postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Silva in real trouble here! The ref calls for Silva to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
