Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lester Jangles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kermit Earlandson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Earlandson's choice of entrance music: the theme from titanic. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lester Jangles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kermit Earlandson!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Earlandson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jangles tries to avoid it but Earlandson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jangles to the ground. Jangles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Earlandson.
Jangles appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Jangles throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jangles slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Earlandson is looking for a triangle but Jangles pushes his legs off easily.

Earlandson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jangles defends it easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Earlandson wants to sweep but no luck.

That was a close round but I would say that Lester Jangles will probably get the nod.

Jangles lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Earlandson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Earlandson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
That kick from Jangles tenderised Earlandson's leg. Earlandson is trying to keep his angry face on.

Earlandson shoots in looking for a takedown but Jangles manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Earlandson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kermit Earlandson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well Jangles has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
