The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Shepherd 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Shepherd doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Zegan counters with a good low kick that Shepherd was not able to check.
Shepherd shoots in for a takedown but Zegan shows good takedown defense.
Maciej Zegan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shepherd will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Shepherd moves into the clinch.
Shepherd has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Zegan after a bit of a struggle.
Zegan stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Maciej Zegan spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
In defeat, Rufus Shepherd stepped up to the mic, saying 'Unfortunately i lost but i will train a lot to win next fight for myself and you- my fans'.
