Wera not doing much here.
Wera's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Noisy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Noisy looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wera thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Noisy's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Noisy wants to get back to full guard. Noisy is pressing down on Wera's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Wera got a little sloppy there for a moment and Noisy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wera has managed to get both his arms back between Noisy's legs - danger averted. Noisy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wera doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Noisy is tightening it up a little... Wera has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Wera reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Wera taps out! Nice BJJ there by Noisy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Tom Noisy!
