Dio comes to the cage accompanied by you know its gotta be Holy Diver. Knott has chosen Kanye West vs. The xx - Touch The Sky (Carlos Serrano Mix) as his entrance music. The key to victory for Ronny James Dio has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ronny James Dio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Buster Knott!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knott stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Knott throws a body shot but no joy.
Knott fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dio slips a jab from Knott.
Knott avoids the body shot from Dio.
Dio dips to his left and cracks Knott with an uppercut!
Knott throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Knott displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dio throws out the jab.
Dio just misses with a punch to the body.
Knott doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Dio works the jab nicely.
Dio looks to score with a jab to the body but Knott is just out of range.
Knott takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Dio lands with an uppercut that bounces Knott off the cage and back into range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Knott drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Dio is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Knott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dio swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dio seems keen to control Knott's posture.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Knott moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Dio just misses with a punch to the body.
A decent looking cross lands there for Dio.
Knott looks to land a combination but Dio avoids it well.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dio. Knott does a little dance to reset his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Knott throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dio's waist but Dio gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Knott off to one side.
A nice combination there by Knott.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

And Knott tries to counter it with a takedown but Dio pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Dio lands with a shot to the body.
Dio throws a body punch but Knott moves out of range.

A shot to the liver by Dio. Beautiful body shot.
Knott tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dio manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dio connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Dio jabs at Knott's body.
Dio misses with the combination.
Knott drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dio defends it well.
Knott misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dio.
Knott ducks right into an uppercut from Dio.

Dio closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Knott out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

After the fight, Ronny James Dio was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
The defeated Buster Knott had this to say: 'I'm young and still have a lot of upside. The same cannot be said of you.'.
