Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rod Stiffington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sterling Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stiffington comes into the arena with I'm Too Sexy by Right Said Fred blaring out of the sound system. Archer has chosen Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stiffington misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Archer clobbers Stiffington with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Stiffington shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Archer seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Stiffington shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Stiffington was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Stiffington wants to work for an arm triangle but Archer is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Archer wants to control but Stiffington is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A close round but Sterling Archer will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Stiffington feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Stiffington quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Stiffington but it's paid off an Archer is forced to tap! Nice work by Stiffington.
