Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ulrich Scherer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Mcginty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcginty blocks a leg kick.
Scherer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mcginty! But no joy.
Mcginty throws a body shot but no joy.
Scherer takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Scherer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mcginty getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Mcginty throws a hook but Scherer avoids it easily.

A close round but Scott Mcginty will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Scherer lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mcginty has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mcginty and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

A nice side step and Mcginty releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mcginty drops Scherer with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Scherer looks back up at him and smiles so Mcginty waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Ulrich Scherer has been cut.
Mcginty slips a jab from Scherer.
Oh Scherer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mcginty cracks Scherer with a left hook right on the temple and Scherer goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Mcginty lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Scherer is OK!
