PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Sambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee has chosen god save the queen sex pistols as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Fedor Sambo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brad Lee!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee tries to clinch up.
Sambo misses the shot to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Sambo. Those never looked like landing.
Lee swings for the body but Sambo moves out of range.
Lee should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Lee looks to land a right hand but Sambo moved out of range.
Lee throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lee tries to clinch but Sambo moves out of range.
Sambo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Lee misses the body punch
and Sambo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sambo scores with a jab to the head.
Sambo looks to throw the jab but Lee is out of range.
Lee misses with a shot to the body
and Sambo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Brad Lee has been cut.
Lee throws a lazy uppercut

and Sambo counters with a nice right hand that sends Lee toppling to the canvas! Lee scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Sambo finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lee throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sambo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sambo slips under a jab from Lee.
Lee closes the distance but Sambo moves to the side
and Sambo counters with a stiff right hand.
Lee dodges the punch combination from Sambo.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee moves to clinch but Sambo breaks away
and Sambo counters with a nice uppercut.
Lee throws a series of punches but Sambo avoids them all with ease.
Sambo went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
A jab from Lee misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Sambo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Lee slips under a jab from Sambo.
Sambo lands a nice hook to Lee's body. Lee takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Brad Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Sambo is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Lee misses with a jab to the body
enabling Sambo to counter with a crisp jab.
Lee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Sambo cracks Lee with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Sambo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Lee to stand back up!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lee closes the distance looking to clinch
and Sambo rattles Lee with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Lee tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Sambo dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Lee stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Fedor Sambo!
