Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luca Rinaldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luca Rinaldi!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch but Rinaldi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rinaldi with the counter takedown but Anderson avoids it easily.
Rinaldi dives in for a single leg takedown but Anderson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Anderson is looking to clinch but Rinaldi is avoiding it.

Rinaldi is trying to drag Anderson to the mat but Anderson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.

Anderson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rinaldi is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Anderson.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rinaldi working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Anderson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rinaldi's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Anderson is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Ararigboya Brazilian Jiu Jitsu that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Anderson tries to kick Rinaldi off in order to stand up. Rinaldi Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Anderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rinaldi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anderson has managed to get both his arms back between Rinaldi's legs - danger averted.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rinaldi can do anything to dispel that myth.

As Rinaldi tries to get set, Anderson tries to push him back and clinch up but Rinaldi manages to avoid the attempt.

Anderson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rinaldi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Anderson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rinaldi is controlling him well.
Rinaldi is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Anderson's shoulder. That is not cool.
Anderson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Rinaldi works to advance to full mount. Anderson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Rinaldi prevents Anderson from getting the reversal.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Rinaldi won't let Anderson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Luca Rinaldi has got the better of the ground game so far.

Rinaldi throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Anderson has his hands clasped together but Rinaldi breaks the hold and Anderson is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Rinaldi!
