The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Longo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Flintstone throws a sloppy head kick and Longo moves out of range easily.
Longo throws a series of strikes that have Flintstone backpedaling.
Longo throws a series of punches but Flintstone avoids them all with ease.
Longo blocks a head kick by Flintstone.
Longo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Longo throws a right and a left that Flintstone avoids nicely.
Longo throws a right and a left that both miss.

Longo gets tackled into the cage by Flintstone. Flintstone maintains the clinch.

Flintstone pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Flintstone shoots in for a double leg but Longo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Despite the aggression on Longo's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Flintstone moves into the clinch.

Flintstone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Flintstone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Longo wants to get up but he can't break Flintstone's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Flintstone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Flintstone pushes Longo off and gets back to his feet.

Flintstone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Longo throws a right and a left that Flintstone avoids nicely.

Flintstone has hold of one of Longo's legs. Longo is fighting the takedown attempt but Flintstone gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Longo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Flintstone controls the pace.

Flintstone is looking to work some ground and pound but Longo has wrist control.
Flintstone slips nicely into half guard.
Flintstone looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Flintstone has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Flintstone pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

It looks like Leroy Longo has been cut.

Flintstone takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
We've been informed that Longo has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Flintstone lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That has opened up Leroy Longo's cut even more.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
