The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter takes a swing at Meningitis's ribcage but misses.
Carter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Meningitis.
Meningitis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Meningitis tries for a takedown but Carter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Meningitis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Carter moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Carter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

and Carter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Carter throws a right hand that Meningitis ducks under and follows up with a left that Meningitis also avoids with ease.
