Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tuomas Keto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Valdemar Rantakoko!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Keto shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Keto showed some decent athleticism there.
Keto works his way into side control.
Rantakoko sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Keto prevents Rantakoko from improving his position.

Rantakoko looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Rantakoko moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rantakoko is controlling Keto's posture.
Rantakoko is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Keto with a nice head shot there.
Keto pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rantakoko is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Keto thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Keto is looking to work some ground and pound but Rantakoko has wrist control.
Rantakoko keeping moving, preventing Keto from controlling successfully.

Keto drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Keto jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Rantakoko utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Keto trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Keto swats away the attempt to clinch by Rantakoko.

Rantakoko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rantakoko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Rantakoko is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Keto is surviving well by controlling Rantakoko's body position as best he can.

A nice elbow there by Rantakoko.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rantakoko cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Keto swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Keto is in all sorts of trouble here.
Keto is working hard here to advance position.
Keto is breathing heavily.
Rantakoko looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Keto is trying to escape the mount.
Rantakoko postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Keto looks a forlorn figure.

Keto working to try and regain half guard.

Rantakoko wants to finish this one by submission but Keto is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Rantakoko.

Keto tries to reverse the position but Rantakoko maintains control.
Rantakoko with a couple of short strikes.

Keto tries to hold on but Rantakoko pushes him away.
Keto is in all sorts of trouble here.

Rantakoko has hold of Keto's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Keto manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Keto regains half guard.
Keto is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Valdemar Rantakoko dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Rantakoko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Rantakoko wants to pass the guard but Keto is keeping the position.
Keto tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Keto bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rantakoko's guard.
Rantakoko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rantakoko is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rantakoko looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Keto working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Keto is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Rantakoko tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rantakoko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Keto is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rantakoko's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rantakoko's back!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Keto is hanging on to Rantakoko's back as he tries to escape.
Keto is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Keto gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Keto gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Keto apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Rantakoko throws a looping overhand right but Keto ducks down to avoid it.
Rantakoko misses with a two punch combination.

Keto scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Keto lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rantakoko down.
Rantakoko is trying to control Keto's posture but Keto avoids it.
Keto cracks Rantakoko with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Keto has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Rantakoko!

Keto is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Keto extends the arm and Rantakoko is forced to tap!
