Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Mikael Saputo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdul Bin Amin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saputo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Milk Song. Abdul Bin Amin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mikael Saputo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Abdul Bin Amin!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bin Amin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Saputo swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Bin Amin fails in his attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bin Amin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bin Amin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Saputo swats away the attempt to clinch by Bin Amin.
Bin Amin tries to clinch but Saputo moves away
and Saputo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Saputo on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Bin Amin tries to work over Saputo's front leg with a kick but Saputo checks it.
Saputo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Saputo throws a hook but Bin Amin blocks it.
Bin Amin checks a leg kick.
Bin Amin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saputo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bin Amin tries to clinch up but Saputo circles away and keeps his distance.

Bin Amin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Saputo thuds a left hand into Bin Amin's body.

Saputo throws a half hearted mid kick.
Saputo dips to his left and cracks Bin Amin with an uppercut!
Bin Amin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bin Amin is looking to clinch.
An attempted straight right counter from Saputo misses the target.
Mikael Saputo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Saputo clobbers Bin Amin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Bin Amin throws a leg kick that is checked
and Saputo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bin Amin tries to clinch but Saputo is having none of it.
Saputo chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Saputo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Bin Amin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bin Amin wants to clinch up but Saputo keeps it at a distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bin Amin is looking to clinch.
Saputo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bin Amin tries to clinch but Saputo moves out of range.
Saputo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.


It looks like Abdul Bin Amin has been cut.

Saputo cracks Bin Amin with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the cage! Can Bin Amin get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Bin Amin looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!

Bin Amin moves in looking to clinch but Saputo pushes him off.
Saputo swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Bin Amin is still on wobbly legs! Can Saputo finish him?
Saputo cracks Bin Amin with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Bin Amin is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Bin Amin is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Bin Amin could not beat the count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Mikael Saputo!
Mikael Saputo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
