The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chavez is trying to trip Haney. He has hold of a leg but Haney is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Chavez persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

and Haney counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Chavez is lucky that one didn't land flush.
