Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vidar Heimdall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heimdall comes to the cage accompanied by Battle Beast - Black Ninja. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman throws a leg kick which misses Heimdall's front leg but catches the back leg as Heimdall tries to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Heimdall might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Heimdall lands a big uppercut and Freeman crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Freeman looks OK. Heimdall waves Freeman back to his feet!

Freeman shoots in but no luck this time.
Freeman is still on wobbly legs! Can Heimdall finish him?
Freeman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Heimdall defends it nicely.
Heimdall tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Freeman manages to circle out of the way.
Heimdall is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Vidar Heimdall will probably get the nod.

Freeman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Heimdall tries to buck Freeman off but Freeman is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Heimdall can't do much from the bottom here.
Heimdall parries the strikes from Freeman easily there. Freeman is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Heimdall to escape.
Heimdall manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Heimdall has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Freeman is working away from the top position though.

Heimdall has hold of Freeman's hands but Freeman slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Freeman is pressing down on Heimdall's thigh, looking to free his foot. Heimdall is holding on for now.
Freeman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Heimdall with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Heimdall is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Freeman is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Freeman cracks Heimdall with a right hand to the side of the head.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Heimdall.
Heimdall finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A jab lands there for Freeman.
Freeman gets in close and tags Heimdall with a short punch that almost sends Heimdall to the mat! Oh Heimdall is in big trouble! He turns his back on Freeman, trying to create some distance but Freeman rushes him, striking wildly and Heimdall goes down! The referee tackles Freeman into the cage to end the fight! Freeman is one violent man!
