Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lasnur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finn Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Finn Davis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Lasnur!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Finn Davis!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis moves out of range of the body kick from Lasnur.
Davis has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lasnur finds it's way round the side to connect with Davis's head.
Lasnur fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lasnur connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Lasnur shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Davis pinned against the cage. Davis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lasnur misses with a wild body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lasnur pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Davis manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lasnur on his heels. He'll look to pass Lasnur's guard now, I'm sure.
Davis postures up in Lasnur's guard and throws a big left but Lasnur blocks it.
Davis content to stall in guard here.

Davis lands a couple of digs.
Davis is in close to Lasnur's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Lasnur is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lasnur seems keen to control Davis's posture.
Lasnur not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Davis sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Lasnur working a defensive guard but Davis manages to pass into side control anyway.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Davis tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Lasnur could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lasnur tries to improve position but can't.
Davis lands an elbow.
Lasnur struggling a bit here.
Davis working the ground and pound.

Lasnur is letting Davis control him for a moment.
Lasnur throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Davis falls off balance throwing a combination

and Lasnur counters with a takedown into side control.
Davis is not content to let Lasnur control the position.
Lasnur wants to stand but Davis is controlling his arm.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davis is trying to control Lasnur's posture but Lasnur avoids it.
Lasnur misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Davis struggling a bit here.
Lasnur looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Davis is avoiding damage well.
Davis is looking for a sweep.
Lasnur trying to control the position but Davis is working away.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
No luck for Lasnur with that takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Finn Davis will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


A decent looking cross lands there for Lasnur.
Lasnur tried to score with a low kick but Davis checks it.
Lasnur avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Lasnur scores with a takedown into Davis's guard.

Davis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Davis looking to control but Lasnur passes into half guard.
Lasnur is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Davis can do to turn this around?

Davis is not content to let Lasnur control the position.
Davis tries to get to full guard but Lasnur has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like Lasnur is going to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lasnur is thwarting Davis's attempts to control the position.

Davis looking for submissions off his back.
Davis is breathing heavily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lasnur throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Davis tries to roll over but Lasnur keeps him under control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Lasnur scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Lasnur performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Lasnur thows a huge punch but Davis dodges it nicely.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Lasnur drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Lasnur keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lasnur dives in and grabs Davis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Davis pushes down on Lasnur's head and hops out.

Lasnur shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Lasnur is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lasnur seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Lasnur tries to stand and escape but Davis is controlling the position.
Lasnur is trying to control the action in half guard but Davis is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Davis tries to get to full guard but Lasnur has control of the leg.
Lasnur thows a huge punch but Davis dodges it nicely.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lasnur prevents Davis from standing back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Lasnur drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lasnur controlling from the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Lasnur dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Lasnur wants to clinch.
Lasnur fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lasnur misses with a takedown attempt - Davis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Davis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lasnur.
Lasnur connects with a body shot that sends Davis's belly button to the back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis cracks Lasnur with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Brock Lasnur is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lasnur avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lasnur shoots for a takedown but Davis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Lasnur. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Davis dodges the punch combination from Lasnur.

Davis clinches up against the cage.
Davis tries to pull guard but Lasnur won't allow it.
Davis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lasnur smiles and moves away.
Nice sprawl there from Davis as Lasnur shoots in.
The fight stays on the outside here - Davis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lasnur throws a big counter combination but Davis scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Lasnur avoids the head kick by Davis.

Davis closes the distance and clinches.
A right handed body shot lands from Davis.

Davis successfully pulls guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Lasnur wants to stand but Davis has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Davis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lasnur gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lasnur tries to free his leg and advance position but Davis is retaining full guard.
Brock Lasnur overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Davis wants to sweep but no luck.
Lasnur wants to stand but Davis has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Davis shoots in but no luck this time.
Lasnur throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lasnur.
Davis lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Davis.

Lasnur shoots in and bounces Davis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Davis has his hands on Lasnur's head, controlling the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Davis is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lasnur is aware though and is defending well.
Lasnur slips nicely into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Davis wants to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Finn Davis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Davis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
