Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alonso Mcguire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koreen Poi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alonso Mcguire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Koreen Poi!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poi fails to land the takedown.
A looping hook to the body misses from Poi. Mcguire does a little dance to reset his feet.
Koreen Poi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Poi closes the distance and pushes Mcguire back into the cage.
Poi gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mcguire.

Mcguire turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Poi is trying to maintain the position but Mcguire is very close to passing his half guard.

Mcguire looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mcguire connects with a nice short shot to Poi's temple.

Poi gets back to full guard.
Mcguire throwing strikes from guard but Poi blocks nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mcguire drops back looking for a leg! Poi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Poi manages to kick Mcguire off! Mcguire jumps back into Poi's guard.
Mcguire postures up in Poi's guard and throws a big left but Poi blocks it.

Poi is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Poi drives through with a takedown into Mcguire's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

A close second round but Koreen Poi will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Poi is looking to advance position but Mcguire has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Poi is squirming around, avoiding Mcguire's attempts to control the action.

Poor strikes thrown by Mcguire there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Poi tries to lock up and control but Mcguire gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
