Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sebastian Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sebastian Nixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, King Kong!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nixon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kong avoids it really well and circles away.
Kong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nixon but Nixon pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nixon moves in looking to clinch but Kong pushes him off.
Nixon stuffs the takedown.
Kong misses with a two punch combination.
Kong looks winded!
Nixon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nixon shoots in for a double leg but Kong sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kong is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Nixon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nixon wants it to stay on the feet.
Sebastian Nixon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Kong.

Nixon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kong throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nixon.

Nixon gets the takedown into side control.
Nixon controls the position.
Nixon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kong for as long as he can get away with.

Nixon decides to stand back up. Nixon steps back and let's Kong get back to his feet.
Nixon jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nixon misses the shot to the body.
Kong darts in looking for a takedown but Nixon gets double underhooks and turns Kong into the cage.
Nixon is looking to clinch but Kong is avoiding it.
Kong tries to clinch but Nixon is having none of it.

Nixon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nixon connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kong some visible discomfort.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Kong is looking to reverse the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kong is working to avoid the ground and pound but Nixon connects with a decent elbow.

Nixon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kong swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kong fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Nixon stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Kong tries to clinch but Nixon moves out of range.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Nixon takes the fight into the clinch.
Nixon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sebastian Nixon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nixon pulls guard.
Kong must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Nixon pulls Kong in to control the position.
Kong looking to pass the guard.
Nixon thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Kong with a flurry of punches that miss.
Kong throws a big elbow that misses.
Nixon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nixon is working hard here to advance position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Nixon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kong manages to get himself to full guard.

Nixon lands a couple of elbows.
Nixon postures up.
Nixon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Nixon has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kong rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nixon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Nixon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nixon lands in his opponent's guard.
Nixon is stalling in the full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Nixon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Nixon gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nixon tries to land knees in the clinch but Kong avoids the damage to the body.
Kong is trying to break the clinch but Nixon has him pressed against the cage.
Nixon is trying to pull guard but Kong has him pressed against the cage.
Nixon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kong pulls his leg out and moves away.
Nixon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kong was well out of range. Poor timing from Nixon.
Kong dives in and grabs Nixon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nixon pushes down on Kong's head and hops out.
Nixon avoids a kick to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nixon walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kong takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Nixon instigates a clinch.
Kong wants a takedown but no success here.

Nixon fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Nixon is trying to drag Kong to the mat but Kong just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Nixon tries to pull guard but Kong holds him up against the cage and eventually Nixon drops back down to his feet.
Kong tries to break free but Nixon pushes him back against the cage.
Nixon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kong walks away with a smile on his face. Nixon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Nixon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kong loads up on a big right hand but Nixon slips the punch.

Nixon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nixon showed some decent athleticism there.

Kong has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nixon is working away from the top position though.
Nixon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Kong keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Nixon controlling the action here.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Nixon moves out of range of the body kick.
Nixon misses with a body shot.

Nixon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kong is trying to defend but Nixon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Nixon decides to stand and escape the position.

Nixon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Nixon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Well Nixon has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
