Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Bill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Bill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruce Lee!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Bill. That snapped Lee's head back.


It looks like Bruce Lee has been cut.
Bill swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee.
Lee takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Lee closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bill is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lee's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Lee looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Bill wants to get back to full guard.
Bill throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bill swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee.
Bill takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Bill throws a lazy head kick
and Lee counters with a left and a right that stings Bill.
Lee tries for a takedown but Bill sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lee looks gassed!
A big right from Bill misses.

Bill tries to clinch but Lee is having none of it.
Bruce Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bill throws a looping overhand right but Lee ducks down to avoid it.
Bill misses with a hook.
Bill takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

and Lee counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bill wants to sweep but no luck.

Bill escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bill throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Bill bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lee's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bill is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Lee has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Bill will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Bruce Lee's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bill fails with an attempt to clinch.

Lee has hold of one of Bill's legs. Bill is fighting the takedown attempt but Lee gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Bill wants to sweep here but Lee controlling him for the moment.
Bill is looking to stand back up but Lee counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Bill.

Well, if Lee is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Bill slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Lee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bill is on top in guard.
Bill is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bill wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.
Bill content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Lee wants to stand but Bill is controlling the position.
Lee keeping moving, preventing Bill from controlling successfully.
Bill is in close to Lee's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Bill has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lee takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Bill shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bill gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lee uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Bruce Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lee gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Bill breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bill looks to land a left hand but Lee moved out of range nicely.
Lee clinches but Bill breaks the clinch

and Bill counters with a shoot takedown. Lee fights it but they end up in guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bill is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Bill pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lee is keeping the position for now.
Bill makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Lee thows a huge punch but Bill dodges it nicely.
Bill is not content to let Lee control the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lee in particular looking to stall.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bill is pressing down on Lee's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bill lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lee!

Frank Bill is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lee is squirming around, avoiding Bill's attempts to control the action.
Bill controlling the pace for now.
Bill seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lee for as long as he can get away with.
Lee is looking to improve his position but Bill isn't that keen on the idea.

Lee tries to lock up and control but Bill gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bruce Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bruce Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
