The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boykin misses with a few strikes there.

Kottari throws a looping overhand right but Boykin ducks down to avoid it.

Boykin has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kottari after a bit of a struggle.
Boykin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kottari can do to turn this around?
Kottari is pushing Boykin up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Boykin jumps guard but Kottari stands there with Boykin around his waist. Boykin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Kottari wants the takedown. Boykin is fighting it off but Kottari persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Boykin's guard against the cage.

Boykin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kottari gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
