The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by da Fonseca or perhaps it was just good defense by Walker which made him look bad.
da Fonseca shoots in and drives through. Walker sprawls well.
Walker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but da Fonseca moves away.

Walker shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in da Fonseca's guard.

Walker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. da Fonseca is working away from the top position though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

da Fonseca decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

da Fonseca is stalling here. Walker is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! da Fonseca seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Walker has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
