PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aulis Tolvana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hijo Te Chingas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tolvana ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tolvana no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Te Chingas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tolvana is taking a breather. Te Chingas says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Te Chingas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tolvana paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tolvana shoots in looking for a takedown. Te Chingas tries to sprawl out of it but Tolvana keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Te Chingas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Tolvana changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Te Chingas tries to avoid it but Tolvana manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Te Chingas to the ground. Te Chingas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aulis Tolvana.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tolvana, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
