The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Rodri counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Mcdonald tries to clinch there but Rodri circles away.
As Mcdonald looks to move away, Rodri throws a big counter combo bu Mcdonald just gets out of the way.
Mcdonald is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rodri sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
It looked like Rodri was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Rodri fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mcdonald tries to clinch up but Rodri circles away and keeps his distance.
Rodri tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Mcdonald manages to circle out of the way.
Mcdonald dives in for a single leg takedown but Rodri sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
It looked like Rodri was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Mcdonald goes for a double leg but Rodri avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rodri continues to drive forward.

As Mcdonald tries to get set, Rodri tries to push him back and clinch up but Mcdonald manages to avoid the attempt.

Rodri shoots in but no luck this time.

You can see the frustration on Rodri's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mcdonald wants to control but Rodri is keeping him busy.
Mcdonald might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rodri haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Mcdonald moves into full mount!

Mcdonald lands with a hammerfist to the side of Rodri's head.
Rodri might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mcdonald is working for a rear naked choke. Rodri is not defending it well and Mcdonald has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Rodri refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Rodri's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
