The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Sanchez does it's job there.

Barnes closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sanchez did well to prevent Barnes getting side control.

Sanchez clobbers Barnes with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

A punch lands to the side of Barnes 's head but he takes it in his stride.
A left lands for Sanchez.
Sanchez is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Barnes drops his hands momentarily and Sanchez takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Barnes has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Barnes there as he acknowledges the shot.
Sanchez connects with a jab.

That has opened up Shoenfield Barnes's cut even more.

Sanchez connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Barnes covering up! Sanchez comes in with a big uppercut and Barnes goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
