Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cyril Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gabriel Souza!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed throws out a leg kick but Souza moves out of range and Reed only half commits.

Souza gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Souza working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reed doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reed manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Reed wants to stand but Souza is controlling his posture from full guard.

Souza is looking for a triangle but Reed pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Souza controls Reed momentarily but Reed frees himself.
Souza looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Reed knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Souza on the ground.

Souza is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Reed tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Reed has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Souza is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Reed off and has taken his back!
Reed tries to roll but Souza sticks to his back.

Souza is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Reed with him. Reed is trying to defend but Souza has an arm under the chin now! Reed grimaces and is forced to tap out!
