Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 44 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Jin Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Edward McLauglin!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim with a poor takedown
and McLauglin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Good leg kick by McLauglin there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kim has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McLauglin finds it's way round the side to connect with Kim's head.
McLauglin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Good exchange - McLauglin coming out on top.
McLauglin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
McLauglin misses with a shot to the body
and Kim counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kim shoots in looking for a takedown but McLauglin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kim's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
McLauglin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McLauglin scores with a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kim tries to score a power double leg takedown but McLauglin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kim somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jin Kim. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kim is defended easily by McLauglin.
Crunch! McLauglin slams his shin into Kim's torso.
McLauglin lands a two punch combo.

McLauglin darts in and clinches Kim up against the cage.
McLauglin lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!


It looks like Jin Kim has been cut.
Kim goes for a takedown in the clinch but McLauglin prevents it.

McLauglin's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

McLauglin lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kim backwards.
Oh Kim is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

McLauglin pushes Kim against the cage. McLauglin is working some dirty boxing. McLauglin pushes off with a quick right hook! Kim goes down! Kim tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! McLauglin moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edward McLauglin!
After winning the bout, Edward McLauglin thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
