The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A jab from Weatherman finds it's way through Machado's defenses.
Machado lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Machado throws a right and a left that both miss.
Weatherman connects with a looping right hand.
Machado thuds a left hand into Weatherman's body.

Machado fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Weatherman manages to avoid it.

Machado doesn't manage to clinch there - Weatherman circles away.

Weatherman throws a right hand that Machado ducks under and follows up with a left that Machado also avoids with ease.

Weatherman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Weatherman wants to clinch up but Machado keeps it at a distance.
Machado ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Weatherman slips a jab and a cross from Machado.
Machado is looking to wear down Weatherman with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Weatherman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Machado is staying active underneath Weatherman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Machado landing rabbit punches to the side of Weatherman's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Machado has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Weatherman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Machado swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Weatherman postures up in Machado's guard and throws a big left but Machado blocks it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Machado throws a body punch but Weatherman moves out of range.

Nice uppercut lands for Machado. That snapped Weatherman's head back.
Machado works Weatherman's body with a nice hook.

Machado fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Weatherman sprawls well initially but Machado persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Machado connects with a nice short shot to Weatherman's temple.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Machado drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Weatherman! Machado is hurt baaadly! Weatherman is firing away with more strikes - Machado is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
