Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jesus Valdez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nobita Nagasaki!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nagasaki misses with a takedown attempt
and Valdez counters with a stiff right hand.

Valdez gets tackled into the cage by Nagasaki. Nagasaki maintains the clinch.

Nagasaki lands an elbow inside.
Nagasaki drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Valdez gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Nagasaki is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nagasaki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Nagasaki tries a head kick but it misses.
Valdez scores with a shot to the body.

Nagasaki closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Valdez's guard.
Valdez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nagasaki is controlling him.
Valdez is looking to stand back up but Nagasaki counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Valdez.

Nagasaki's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nagasaki throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Nagasaki is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Valdez sees it coming and defends easily.

Nagasaki is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Valdez defends it well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Valdez tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Nagasaki manages to move to mount!

Nagasaki content just to control the position here.

Nagasaki is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Valdez is surviving well by controlling Nagasaki's body position as best he can.
Valdez is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Valdez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nagasaki on the ground.

Valdez tries to buck Nagasaki off but Nagasaki takes his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Valdez is trying to stand back up.
Valdez is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Nagasaki punches Valdez on the ear.
What can Valdez do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Nagasaki looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nobita Nagasaki dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


No luck with that takedown attempt from Nagasaki.
Valdez was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Valdez lands a nice shot that snaps Nagasaki's head back.
Valdez connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Valdez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nagasaki looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Nagasaki fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nagasaki has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nagasaki there as he acknowledges the shot.

Nagasaki moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nagasaki jumps guard and drags Valdez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Valdez won't allow Nagasaki to sweep him here.
Valdez is fighting to break Nagasaki's control of his arms but Nagasaki is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Nagasaki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Valdez is one step ahead there.
Valdez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Nagasaki has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Valdez should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Nagasaki has tightened it up now! Valdez should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
