And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Patterson!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patterson feints and as Norris raises his hands in defense, Patterson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Norris wants to sweep here but Patterson controlling him for the moment.
Norris is working hard here to advance position.
Patterson looking to pass the guard.
Patterson trying to control but Norris is working from the bottom.
Patterson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Patterson wants to pass the guard but Norris is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Norris got a little sloppy there for a moment and Patterson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Norris has managed to get both his arms back between Patterson's legs - danger averted.
Norris makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Patterson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Norris's guard.

Norris really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Norris has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Patterson uses from the top position.

Patterson is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Patterson tries to reverse the position but Norris maintains control.
Norris lands a couple of good shots and Patterson has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Norris lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

Norris is punishing Patterson with some ground and pound.

You can see the frustration on Patterson's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Norris lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Patterson covers up after that shot from Norris.
Donovan Norris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Norris just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Can Patterson hold on?! Norris is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

I would just about give that final round to Frank Patterson.
