Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lynn Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hendo Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hendo Ferguson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson feints and as Duran raises his hands in defense, Ferguson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ferguson advances to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ferguson connects with a nice short shot to Duran's temple.
Ferguson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Duran is trying to maintain the position but Ferguson is very close to passing his half guard.
Duran has hold of Ferguson's hands but Ferguson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Ferguson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Duran defends it well.
Ferguson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Ferguson wants to pass to mount but Duran is defending the position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ferguson in particular looking to stall.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ferguson wants the takedown. Duran is fighting it off but Ferguson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Duran's guard against the cage.

Duran has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ferguson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Duran.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Duran might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ferguson has had enough of the clinch but Duran keeps him there for the moment.

Duran pulls guard effortlessly.

Ferguson is pushing down on Duran's leg trying to pass to half guard. Duran is fighting to maintain full guard but Ferguson has managed to sneak the leg through.

Ferguson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Duran is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Duran and Ferguson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Ferguson takes a little break here. Duran wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Ferguson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hendo Ferguson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Duran's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
