PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Grazie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaka Zulu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grazie kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Randy Edelman, Trevor Jones - Promontory. Shaka Zulu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grazie closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zulu is trying to stand back up but Grazie is controlling him

Grazie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Grazie in particular looking to stall.
Zulu is trying to stand.
Grazie is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Zulu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grazie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Grazie prevents Zulu from standing back up.
Grazie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Zulu does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Grazie stops Zulu from getting back to his feet.
Zulu should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Grazie is looking for a kimura but Zulu is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Grazie to get the leverage.
Zulu looks like he's trying to stand up.

Grazie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Zulu is looking to escape.
Zulu looks gassed!
Grazie works his way into full mount!
Zulu trying desperately to get to his feet.

Grazie looking for a guillotine from mount but Zulu is having none of it.

Grazie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Zulu can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Grazie moves to take his opponent's back.
Zulu is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Grazie is cranking Zulu's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Zulu! He's tightened the choke and Zulu is tapping out!
