The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shavershian throws a right and a left that both miss.
Strzelba fails to land the takedown.
Strzelba moves to clinch but Shavershian breaks away
and Shavershian counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Marcin Strzelba has been cut.
Strzelba fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
It seemed like Shavershian was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Shavershian gets underhooks to prevent Strzelba's takedown attempt.

Strzelba seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Strzelba decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Strzelba tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shavershian paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Shavershian cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shavershian feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Strzelba sprawling to the canvas! Strzelba rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Shavershian finish him?!
Strzelba is rocked!
Shavershian ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Strzelba out cold! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Aziz Shavershian!
