Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Ljashko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Burg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burg uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
We've been told by Ljashko's head coaches at Russian Top Team Elite Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Ljashko stands and steps away. Burg gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Burg seems to have recovered his senses.

Ljashko lands a big uppercut and Burg is down! He's in big trouble - Ljashko follows him to the mat!
Ljashko is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Ljashko has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Burg lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ljashko circles away quickly and effectively.

Ljashko cracks Burg with an uppercut from hell and Burg crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Ljashko's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Burg might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
