Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

51 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arthur Curry!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaFontier throws a right hand that Curry ducks under and follows up with a left that Curry also avoids with ease.
Curry ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
LaFontier throws a hook but Curry blocks it.
Curry takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Curry thows a left - swing and a miss!
LaFontier ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Arthur Curry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
LaFontier tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Curry swivels and escapes.
A looping hook to the body misses from LaFontier. Curry does a little dance to reset his feet.
LaFontier smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
LaFontier takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
LaFontier will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
LaFontier drops his hands momentarily and Curry takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Charles LaFontier has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Curry looks to throw the jab but LaFontier is out of range.
LaFontier uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Curry.
Curry missing with a left hand there. LaFontier was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
LaFontier closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
LaFontier misses the jab.
Curry has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Curry uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by LaFontier.
Curry's jab looks to have found its range, popping LaFontier under the eye.
Curry misses with a hook. LaFontier ducked under it nicely.
Curry has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
LaFontier misses with a wild body shot.
A telegraphed right hand from LaFontier misses the target.
LaFontier throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Curry counters with a big right hand! Oh LaFontier is in trouble here! Curry follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

A relieved looking Arthur Curry thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
