Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Seleukos Molovgomedov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Correa!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Correa changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Correa misses with an uppercut.
Molovgomedov connects with an inside leg kick.
Correa misses with a jab, cross combination.
Molovgomedov scores with a leg kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Molovgomedov finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Correa steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Molovgomedov.
Molovgomedov fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Correa.
Correa takes one to the chin there.
Correa lands the left hand.

Molovgomedov forces Correa back against the cage and clinches.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Correa goes for a takedown in the clinch but Molovgomedov prevents it.
Nice body punch from Molovgomedov.
Correa tries for a takedown. No joy.

Molovgomedov turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Molovgomedov manages to end up in side control.
Correa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Molovgomedov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Molovgomedov misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
You can see the frustration on Correa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Molovgomedov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Correa on the ground.
Molovgomedov lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Correa down.

Correa manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Molovgomedov is in trouble now - Correa has advanced to mount!

Correa goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Molovgomedov turns into him and now he's in Correa's guard.

Correa has his foot on Molovgomedov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Molovgomedov works his way back into a safe position though.
Molovgomedov cracks Correa with a solid left hand.

Correa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Molovgomedov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Molovgomedov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Correa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Molovgomedov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Correa tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Correa looking for a guillotine here but Molovgomedov defends easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Correa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Correa looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Molovgomedov chips away with some ground and pound.
Correa can't keep his opponent in guard - Molovgomedov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Molovgomedov landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Correa makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Correa.

Molovgomedov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Molovgomedov working some strikes from top position.
Correa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Correa is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Molovgomedov has managed to free his arm - good work.
Molovgomedov is looking to improve his position.
Correa is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Molovgomedov is working to get back to half guard.
Molovgomedov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jose Correa will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Correa listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Correa shoots in but Molovgomedov avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Molovgomedov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Correa is trying to defend but Molovgomedov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Correa is refusing to be controlled, as Molovgomedov sits in half guard.
Molovgomedov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Correa is staying active underneath Molovgomedov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Molovgomedov trying to mount his opponent but Correa defends it.
Molovgomedov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Correa keeps working.

Molovgomedov winds up and cracks Correa with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Correa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Molovgomedov pulls his head out easily.

Molovgomedov wants to pass to mount but Correa is defending the position.

Molovgomedov is just content to waste time from the top position. Correa takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Molovgomedov wants to control from the top but Correa keeps moving.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Correa is on top in guard.

Molovgomedov lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Correa has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Molovgomedov doesn't defend quickly enough and Correa has managed to lock this one up! Can Molovgomedov escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Correa on a fantastic submission victory.
