The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson rushes Mclean and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mclean has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Mclean's legs - danger averted.
Mclean looking to hit a scissor sweep but Johnson is one step ahead there.

Mclean looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Johnson has picked Mclean up and slammed him! Mclean can't keep hold of the triangle and Johnson manages to pass to side control!
Mclean tries to buck Johnson off but Johnson is having none of it.

Johnson tries to bum rush Mclean with a series of wild strikes but Mclean uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mclean leaves Johnson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Mclean stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mclean wants it to stay on the feet.
Buster Mclean has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Johnson.

Mclean manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Johnson keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Johnson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Johnson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mclean has him pressed against the cage.

That was a close round but I would say that Buster Mclean will probably get the nod.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Johnson! Mclean is out on his feet! Johnson rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Mclean is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Mclean is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
