The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meaney throws a right and a left that Smith avoids nicely.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Smith.
Meaney tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Smith wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Meaney is in a horrible position here. Smith smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Smith lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Meaney on the ground.
