Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fabian Cameron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Mercurious (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocky Mercurious has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Fabian Cameron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 19 - 1, fighting out of New York, Rocky Mercurious!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cameron darts in looking for a takedown but Mercurious gets double underhooks and turns Cameron into the cage.
Mercurious throws a big counter head kick but Cameron avoids it with no problem.
Mercurious defending well as Cameron loads up on a big left hand.
Mercurious throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

so Cameron counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Cameron is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Cameron slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Cameron trying to control the position from guard on top but Mercurious is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mercurious is pulling down on Cameron's head to control his posture.

Cameron stands and throws Mercurious's legs to the side, diving into side control.
You can see the frustration on Mercurious's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mercurious dodges the ground and pound from Cameron.
Cameron sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Mercurious is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Cameron looks to land a strike but Mercurious avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Cameron has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cameron wants to control from the top but Mercurious keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Mercurious bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cameron's head.
Cameron looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
It seemed like Mercurious was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Mercurious uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cameron has time to react.

Cameron just misses with a punch to the body.
Mercurious is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Cameron uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mercurious.

The crowd cheers as Cameron lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mercurious doesn't seem phased though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Cameron avoids the head kick by Mercurious.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

It seemed like Mercurious was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fabian Cameron dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cameron is defended easily by Mercurious.
Mercurious is looking for the big counter here.

Cameron looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mercurious is fending him off so far but Cameron persists. Nope, Mercurious circles away and we're back to standing.

Cameron drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mercurious sprawls and moves away.

Mercurious gets caught napping as Cameron dives in and scores a takedown. Mercurious manages to retain guard.
Mercurious utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Cameron is pushing down on Mercurious's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mercurious is fighting to maintain full guard but Cameron has managed to sneak the leg through.

Cameron wants to take a breather but Mercurious is having none of it.

Cameron seems to be working for a kimura but Mercurious defends the submission attempt.
Cameron working over Mercurious with some ground and pound. Mercurious looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Mercurious wants to get back to full guard but Cameron has mounted him!

Cameron fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Cameron goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mercurious turns into him and now he's in Cameron's guard.

Cameron has his foot on Mercurious's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mercurious works his way back into a safe position though.

Cameron is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Cameron has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Mercurious doesn't defend quickly enough and Cameron has managed to lock this one up! Can Mercurious escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Cameron on a fantastic submission victory.
