Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Pena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Kirilenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bryan Pena has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bryan Pena!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Kirilenko!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kirilenko decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pena is trying to control but can't.
Pena blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kirilenko.
Kirilenko tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pena knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Kirilenko wants to control but Pena is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kirilenko throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Kirilenko winds up and cracks Pena with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kirilenko takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kirilenko tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pena knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Pena gets caught flat footed, as Kirilenko shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kirilenko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kirilenko won't allow Pena to get back to his feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kirilenko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pena tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kirilenko manages to circle out of the way.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kirilenko shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kirilenko showed some decent athleticism there.

Pena will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Pena is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kirilenko is surviving well by controlling Pena's body position as best he can.

Pena wants to finish this one by submission but Kirilenko is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Pena.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kirilenko can do anything to dispel that myth.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pena lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kirilenko has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kirilenko and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Pena gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Kirilenko closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pena quickly recovers to half guard.

Pena went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Kirilenko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mark Kirilenko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kirilenko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
