The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pollock throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Spears was covering up waiting for the punch and Pollock finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Pollock stands and throws Spears's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Spears knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pollock on the ground.
Spears is being controlled here.
Pollock trying to control the position but Spears is working away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pollock takes a little break here. Spears wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Spears is working to avoid the ground and pound but Pollock connects with a decent elbow.

Pollock is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Spears tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Pollock wants to stand but Spears is controlling his arm.

Pollock is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Spears has escaped the position, nice work there.
You can see the frustration on Spears's face as Pollock controls the position.

Pollock has hold of Spears's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Spears seems comfortable defending it but Pollock has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Spears is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Spears is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Pollock couldn't care less - he's delighted!
