Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Howard!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Palmer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Howard is in Palmer's guard.
Palmer trying to control the position.
Palmer has momentary wrist control but Howard slips an elbow through the middle.
Howard trying to control but Palmer is working from the bottom.
Howard looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Howard's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Palmer keeping full guard, as Howard tries to pass.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Howard is looking to stand up but Palmer won't let him.
Palmer working for submissions but it's allowed Howard to get to half guard.
Howard takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Howard frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Howard lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Howard controlling the position easily from mount.
Howard lands a couple of good shots and Palmer has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Palmer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Howard looking for the choke but no joy.
Good control from Howard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Palmer looking very determined here, making life difficult for Howard.
Palmer tries to escape the position.
Howard lands a shot to the body.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Howard throwing damaging strikes from the back! Palmer could be in trouble here!
Palmer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Howard is landing with strikes. Palmer can't take much more of this.

Howard lands strikes from the back and Palmer isn't doing enough to escape the position. The referee steps in to end the fight.
