Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fritz Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Roberts.
Roberts doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Drake holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Roberts tries to pull guard but Drake forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Drake escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Roberts closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Roberts using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Drake gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Roberts trying to keep a closed guard but Drake is proving a slippery customer.
Drake postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Roberts escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Drake gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Drake slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Roberts working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Drake has passed into half guard!

Drake is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Roberts is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
