Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Amos Miguel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karen Pashikyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Pashikyan's choice of entrance music: Yerbolat Kudaibergenov-JENIS. Karen Pashikyan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Amos Miguel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karen Pashikyan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miguel looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Pashikyan!
Miguel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pashikyan keeps working.
Pashikyan struggling a bit here.
Pashikyan is trying to get back to half guard.

Miguel tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miguel is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pashikyan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pashikyan seems a little lost for a moment, as Miguel dominates the positioning.

Miguel thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Miguel takes a little break here. Pashikyan wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Miguel tries for a kimura but Pashikyan is defending well.

Miguel is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pashikyan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Pashikyan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miguel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Miguel definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Pashikyan is looking to regain half guard here but Miguel keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Miguel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Miguel wants it to stay on the feet.
Pashikyan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Miguel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pashikyan somewhat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pashikyan closes the distance and clinches.

Miguel tightens his grip and picks Pashikyan up, before dumping him to the ground. Pashikyan manages to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Miguel drops back looking for a leg! Pashikyan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pashikyan manages to kick Miguel off! Miguel jumps back into Pashikyan's guard.
Miguel slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Pashikyan misses with a wild body shot.
Pashikyan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Miguel swinging wildly here.

Pashikyan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Amos Miguel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Pashikyan tries to clinch but Miguel is having none of it.

Horrible takedown attempt by Miguel or perhaps it was just good defense by Pashikyan, which made it look bad.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pashikyan throws a right and a left that Miguel avoids nicely.
Miguel walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Miguel swings around for an armbar but Pashikyan sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Miguel's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Pashikyan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Miguel is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pashikyan.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Miguel in particular looking to stall.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Pashikyan tries to keep at a distance but Miguel has taken the fight into the clinch.
