Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mr Complete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hai Shang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hai Shang is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hai Shang!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been hearing reports that Complete has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Shang connects with a leg kick. Complete looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Shang dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Complete. That did some damage!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Shang has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

You can see the frustration on Complete's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Shang is looking for the choke from the back position but Complete is controlling his hands well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shang lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Complete is trying to remain composed but Shang is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Shang has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Complete has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Well Shang has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
