Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claudio Demaestri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Instrumental Core - The Angels Among Demons. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Demaestri is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Demaestri had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Silva defends it easily.
Silva slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Silva is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Lock and Roll Grappling Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
