The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meridius punishes Boubeez's body with a nice straight punch.
Meridius throws a nice looking combination but Boubeez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Meridius has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Boubeez is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Meridius misses with a jab, cross combination.
Meridius wants to slow Boubeez down by chopping away at his legs.
Meridius drops Boubeez with a right and a left! Meridius comes rushing in but Boubeez regains his composure and manages to keep Meridius in guard.
It looks like Iliek Boubeez has been cut.

Meridius works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Meridius takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Meridius missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Meridius trying to mount his opponent but Boubeez defends it.
Boubeez wants to get back to full guard.
Meridius seems to be looking for submissions.

It looks like Maximus Meridius has been cut.
Meridius throws a series of punches but Boubeez avoids them all with ease.
Boubeez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Meridius.
Meridius misses with a series of wild punches.
Meridius swings widly with a right hand
and Boubeez counters with a left and a right... And another left! Meridius is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
